It is certainly getting very busy in school, with Reception and KS1 classes rehearsing hard for their Christmas plays.

This week, I also had the pleasure of taking a group of children to meet some veterans who were also at the Remembrance Parade. We posed for some photographs with them by the war memorial. Sadly, the files are too big to load onto this blog... we will try to get them posted on here.

On Friday we celebrated the children's hard work in Headteacher Awards. Well done to:
Isabella, Betty, Ethan, Harriet, Barbara, Jamie, Tilly, Mia, Cali and Cassian! Blog image

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Frome Remembrance Parade last Sunday - well done to all of the children who were there in our St John's uniform or indeed other uniforms representing their groups such as rainbows, brownies, beavers and cubs. I was extremely proud of all of you.

Last week, we took some time to raise awareness of Anti-Bullying Week by wearing odd socks, reminding us that we are all unique - all different, all equal!

This week we have been thinking about remembrance and the symbol of the poppy worn by so many people at this time of the year. I would like to thank our House Captains for helping to sell poppies in school, and to everyone who has contributed to this year's Poppy Appeal.

Well done and thank you to Isobelle Lear who played 'The Last Post' beuatifully on the trumpet in Collective Worship this morning.

On Tuesday, Year 2 went to the Bath Literature Festival and met a real author. They were fantastic ambassadors for our school, and there excellent behaviour was commented on by other visitors who were not with our school party. Well done Year 2!

On Thursday Year 3 visited Cheddar Caves, and their sensible behaviour was also commented on by members of the public; they, too, were great ambassadors for St John's. Well done Year 3!
