On Tuesday Lunchtimes in Maple Class we have Year 4 Science Club.
This club has had a great level of interest and so I will be running the club regularly to ensure that all children who want to participate will be able to do so.

So far we have been learning about fingerprinting and this week we explored spinners. Here's a few pictures of the current members and the fun we had finding out how we could make our spinners fall faster.

Looking forward to our next session smileysmileysmiley

The three little wolves and the big bad pig

This week we have been learning an alternative version of the the three little pigs story. We have drawn a class story map and learnt to retell the story through actions. We've had fun practising it many times.

This is Maple Class's story map. Can you use it retell the story yourself???

We have NEW school rules which we are very excited about. They are...

Be respectful
Be responsible
Be the best you can
Be careful
Be kind and gentle

We are already trying very hard to follow these rules all the time. If you're in Sycamore or Maple, look for the great displays we have created to help us remember them.

In Science we have been learning about how we can classify and group different animals. We had great fun sorting them out. smiley

This week we have been choosing values that we think are the most important for our school.

We chose friendship because if we didn't have any friends no one would play with each other.

We chose respect because if we didn't respect anyone they wouldn't respect us back.

We chose ambition/aspiration because we want to be the best we can be.

We wonder what other people think our values should be?
